| Description | QUALIFICATION
- EDUCATION: Completed a minimum of a high school diploma;
- LICENSURE: Associate degree preferred with continued employment conditional on successful completion of Paraeducator Generalist I Certificate.
- EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to effectively relate to student population being served
- Strong communication skills appropriate for assigned tasks
- Proficiency in using relevant technology tools
- Pass the required security check conducted as per Human Resources hiring practice.
- Must have transportation and valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist the SLP with screenings of students with no interpretation of information
- Assist with data collection and documentation as directed by the SLP
- Follow documented treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Plan activities that lead to student success on goals
- Assist in providing active positive engagement for all students 3 to 21
- Assist with duties such as preparing and making activities as directed by SLP
- Assist with clerical duties such as making copies and preparing materials
- Assist with scheduling, record keeping, maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Collect data for monitoring quality improvement
- Comply with regulations, reimbursement and documentation requirements
- Provide support and assistance for teletherapy as needed and directed
- Fulfils professional responsibilities of a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Adhere to the Speech Language Pathology Assistant’s job responsibilities
- Additional duties as assigned
- Participate in professional development activities
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to student record and information
- Regional Administrator evaluates SLPA using Classified Staff form and input from supervising SLP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel between schools and sites served
- Normal, routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, vision and walking, and may also involve above-average levels of activity at times that can’t always be anticipated
