QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION:
Completed a minimum of a high school diploma;
LICENSURE
: Associate degree preferred with continued employment conditional on successful completion of Paraeducator Generalist I Certificate.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with children preferred
Ability to effectively relate to student population being served
Strong communication skills appropriate for assigned tasks
Proficiency in using relevant technology tools
Pass the required security check conducted as per Human Resources hiring practice.
Must have transportation and valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist the SLP with screenings of students with no interpretation of information
Assist with data collection and documentation as directed by the SLP
Follow documented treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
Plan activities that lead to student success on goals
Assist in providing active positive engagement for all students 3 to 21
Assist with duties such as preparing and making activities as directed by SLP
Assist with clerical duties such as making copies and preparing materials
Assist with scheduling, record keeping, maintenance of supplies and equipment
Collect data for monitoring quality improvement
Comply with regulations, reimbursement and documentation requirements
Provide support and assistance for teletherapy as needed and directed
Fulfils professional responsibilities of a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Adhere to the Speech Language Pathology Assistant’s job responsibilities
Additional duties as assigned
Participate in professional development activities
Maintain confidentiality with regard to student record and information
Regional Administrator evaluates SLPA using Classified Staff form and input from supervising SLP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel between schools and sites served
Normal, routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, vision and walking, and may also involve above-average levels of activity at times that can’t always be anticipated
